Cabins On Lake Martin Al Lake Martin was a great location to go to earlier than ending our Alabama go to the next day in Montgomery. The drive up State Highway 49 to StillWaters, after we acquired off Interstate 85, was scenic, and there was not much traffic. StillWaters is a peaceful gated group with condos, properties, Harbor Pointe Marina, and a golf course.
The condo we stayed in was excellent! Comfy, clear, nice location, and nice company. We had a beautiful view of the lake and sunset from the balcony.
That evening, all of us had steak dinners at a neighborhood restaurant referred to as Poplar Dawg's. The steak and prices were both very good, and we had a primary time experience that night. The state of Alabama allows "brown bagging" or BYOB from home. We were allowed to usher in our personal bottle of wine to have with dinner for no cost! This was a nice shock for us, since this isn't allowed anyplace that I do know of in Michigan. From what I read online after this go to, it feels like eating places can cost a corking charge at their discretion.
The next day, we went for a ship trip on Lake Martin . Lake Martin is among the largest man made lakes within the United States. It was a cool day; nonetheless, it was sunny, the company was nice, and we love boat rides! We loved a smooth trip with lovely scenery. The first 4 pictures below were taken whereas we were on Lake Martin.
When we left StillWaters, we took AL-50/Martin Dam Road as an alternative of State Highway 49, so that we could drive by the dam and stop for an overlook view of the lake. We observed many flowering bushes along State Highway 50, which we had not seen the day earlier than on State Highway 49.
We thought Alabama was a great place to visit. In addition to the Alabama hotel reviews that I have supplied on this blog, we also stopped at the usALABAMA Battleship Memorial Park . It was $2 to park the automobile and see the skin displays. If we had had extra time, we might have toured the inside of the battleship too. Cabins On Lake Martin Al
