Lake Martin Homes For Rent Lake Martin was a fantastic location to visit before ending our Alabama go to the next day in Montgomery. The drive up State Highway 49 to StillWaters, after we bought off Interstate eighty five, was scenic, and there was not much traffic. StillWaters is a peaceable gated community with condos, properties, Harbor Pointe Marina, and a golf course.
The condominium we stayed in was good! Snug, clean, nice location, and nice company. We had a beautiful view of the lake and sundown from the balcony.
That evening, all of us had steak dinners at an area restaurant known as Poplar Dawg's. The steak and costs were both very good, and we had a first time experience that night. The state of Alabama allows "brown bagging" or BYOB from home. We were allowed to usher in our personal bottle of wine to have with dinner for no charge! This was a nice surprise for us, since this isn't allowed anyplace that I do know of in Michigan. From what I learn online after this go to, it sounds like restaurants can charge a corking price at their discretion.
The subsequent day, we went for a boat ride on Lake Martin . Lake Martin is one of the largest man made lakes in the United States. It was a cool day; however, it was sunny, the corporate was nice, and we love boat rides! We loved a easy ride with lovely scenery. The first four pictures below were taken while we were on Lake Martin.
After we left StillWaters, we took AL-50/Martin Dam Highway instead of State Highway 49, so that we might drive by the dam and stop for an overlook view of the lake. We observed many flowering timber along State Highway 50, which we had not seen the day before on State Highway 49.
We thought Alabama was a fantastic place to visit. Along with the Alabama hotel critiques that I've offered on this blog, we also stopped at the usALABAMA Battleship Memorial Park . It was $2 to park the automobile and see the outside displays. If we had had more time, we'd have toured the within of the battleship too. Lake Martin Homes For Rent
